Purpose of Processing Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Finnish Personal Data Act for purposes such as:

  • Managing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Customer newsletters and bulletins
  • Customer surveys and collection of customer information
  • Implementation, sales, administration, invoicing, marketing, and development of services and products offered by PCBI Oy and its partners

PCBI Oy and companies belonging to the same group have the right to use and disclose data in the register for justified purposes (e.g., direct marketing, remote sales, opinion and market research) in accordance with the Personal Data Act and other applicable legislation.

We also comply with the IT2018 EHK – Special Terms for the Processing of Personal Data.

Data Content of the Register

  • Contact details: Company name, name, title, address, phone numbers, email addresses
  • Marketing permissions/prohibitions provided by the customer for electronic direct marketing
  • Profiling data and information related to the customer relationship and service usage (e.g., feedback, information related to service procurement or company strategy)
  • Other identifiable personal data and contact information may be transferred to the marketing register for direct marketing purposes even after the end of the customer relationship

Regular Sources of Data

  • Customer registers of PCBI Oy and PCBI Nordic Oy
  • Information provided by the customer and data generated during service use. Data is automatically stored in the register when the user submits information via our website.

Regular Disclosures of Data

  • For direct marketing purposes in accordance with Section 19 of the Personal Data Act
  • For opinion and market research and similar studies

Transfer of Data Outside the EU or EEA

Data may be transferred outside the EU or EEA.
Data may be stored outside Finland or within the EU in data repositories owned by service providers contracted by PCBI Oy.

Principles of Register Protection

A. Manual Material
No manual material is maintained.

B. Electronically Processed Data
The register is protected against external intrusions with usernames and passwords. Only authorized personnel have access to the data, and access is logged. The company also has access control in place for the relevant IT facilities.

Right of Access

Everyone has the right to know what personal data concerning them is stored in the register. This right can be exercised once a year free of charge. The person must verify their identity using a reliable method, such as an electronic ID card, by visiting customer service in person, or by submitting a signed or otherwise verified document. The information will be provided in writing upon request.
Requests for access can be submitted to PCBI customer service at info@pcbi.fi, from where they will be forwarded to the contact person mentioned above.

Right to Request Correction

The data controller will delete, correct, or supplement any incorrect, unnecessary, incomplete, or outdated data either on their own initiative or at the request of the data subject. Correction requests must be made in writing.

Right to Request Deletion

Everyone has the right to be forgotten. Upon written request, we will delete all data concerning the data subject from our records.

Other Rights Related to the Processing of Personal Data

The data subject has the right to prohibit the data controller from processing their personal data for direct marketing, remote sales, other direct marketing, market and opinion research, personal directories, and genealogical research. The prohibition must be addressed to the contact person responsible for registry matters.
