SÄHKÖ SASP Oy Becomes Part of PCBI

PCBI, a company specializing in services for critical infrastructure such as data centers and building technology, is merging with Sähkö SASP Oy, a Jyväskylä-based provider of backup power, electrical, automation, and maintenance services for industry, critical infrastructure, and environmental technology. As a result of the acquisition, the entire share capital of Sähkö SASP Oy will be transferred to PCBI Oy.

Following the acquisition, the name of Sähkö SASP Oy will change to PCBI Sähkö Oy. The name change will not affect the company’s legal information, such as its business ID or banking details, nor will it impact existing contracts. The company will continue its operations in Jyväskylä, and all employees will remain in their current positions.

“We are responding to the growing demand for electrical engineering services by strengthening our expertise in electrical and automation technology within the group. PCBI now has full control over critical building technology. We have direct imports, design expertise, project and contract management, as well as 24/7 maintenance and support for backup power, UPS, and cooling solutions, along with HVAC contracting to support comprehensive deliveries. Our current and future clients primarily operate in the data center, construction, industrial, and public administration sectors,” says CEO Janne Puranen.

Janne Puranen leads the group, which now consists of three companies. The parent company, PCBI Oy, is responsible for HVAC contracting; PCBI Nordic manages critical building components such as data centers; and the newest addition, PCBI Sähkö Oy, focuses on automation and electrical engineering.

The Jyväskylä office will focus on serving the group’s customers in Central and Northern Finland. “We now also have a stronger presence throughout Finland, and we believe this will especially increase demand for maintenance services as well as equipment deliveries and installations outside the Helsinki metropolitan area,” Puranen adds.

The combined turnover of the group companies is approximately €14 million, and they employ around 46 people in total.
